Sandy and I recently took a trip to Kosciusko, MS and noted a few murals along the way. Our first murals were found in Calhoun City, MS.

Note: Ace Cannon is a native of Calhoun City and was a noted American tenor and saxophonist. He is a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and the Mississippi Muscian's Hall of Fame.
We also discovered a couple of murals in Kosciusko, which sits just at the edge of the Mississippi Hills southern border.

Many of the towns in the Mississippi Hills have added murals to their downtown areas. My wife, Sandy and I will spend time discovering these murals. They represent art in a very public, specific and honorable form.
Here are several murals found in New Albany, MS. You can read more about them and the artists who created them at the New Albany Main Street site.

We had already discovered this mural in in Coffeeville, MS.
